• Creche: Children up to the age of five years are welcome at any time during the morning service to join the crèche which is in the west Gatehouse.
• Coffee, tea and other refreshments will be served in the West End after the morning service. All are warmly invited to remain behind.
• A Short Tour of the Cathedral will be given immediately after the service. Anyone interested should meet a guide at the west end of the Cathedral.

• Bell Ringing: Monday ringing practice from 7.30 - 9.30 and Sunday ringing from 10.15am. Visitors or learners always welcome. Contact Ian Talboys (01467 623682) or Ruth Perrett (01224 701301).
• Cathedral Choir: The 2010 - 2011 choir season commences on Sunday 29 August.  Choir rehearsals will resume in the Cathedral on Friday 27 August from 7.30 to 9.00 pm.  If anyone is interested in choir membership or would like details, please contact the Director of Music, Michael Thomson, or any choir member.
• Friends of St Machar’s Cathedral/ Old Aberdeen Heritage Society Annual Outing is on Saturday 4th September, going to the Auld Kirk at Midmar with afternoon tea at The Millers in Midmar. Bus leaves the Chanonry at 1.45pm and returns at about 5pm. The total cost is £16 per person. All are welcome. • Doors Open Day is on Saturday 11 September from 10am – 4pm when the Bell Tower and the Charter Room will be open to visitors. Teas & coffees available.
